In room 8 we are learning about how to use our conscience (hinegaro) to support us when making choices.
This collection of images is about things that help me to use my hinegaro. If you do something bad. Rethink about it and replace it or return it or do something sensible.
I am a Year 8 student at Saint Patrick's School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 8 and my teacher is Mrs Dines.

Letter To Josephine And Angela
In Room 8 I've been learning about the fencible cottage. Inside the fensible cottage there are their clothes, and shoes. The funniest thing that I saw was that the men's had to wear long Johns with the trap doors. Another thing that I found interesting was the type writer because it had no screen to look at their work to be able to check if it was right or wrong. The key board was steps.

The Euphrasie Barbier Wordle
WALHT;Use our close reading skills to identify and attitudes, values and actions of Euprasie Barbier. The Wordle above was created using the explanation below.
The Sister that founded the Order of the Mission Sisters was Euphrasie Barbier. She was born in a place called Caen in Normandy, France in the year 1829.
As a young girl, Euphrasie liked to listen to stories her dad told about people in need overseas and this increased her interest in ‘reaching out’ to help others. When she became a Religious Sister, she was determined to start up an ‘Order’ that linked to the Missions.
Euphrasie Barbier was kind and had a positive attitude towards others, she saw a need and she reached out to help in her words and actions.
These actions showed that Euphrasie had a loving heart and was strong in ‘faith’.
